La Candelaria

In the history of Bogota La Candelaria is a very important part. This is an important avenue that divides the city into east and west. The most of the contructions are since their because they are part of the historical heritage. But in the "Bogotazo" some of the constructions were missing.
It becomes to the location 17, and the central point of this historical heritage is the "Plaza de Bolivar" and many people said that this city was built with 12 huts. Also some important constructions are "Congreso de la Republica", "Catedral Primada", "Palacio de Justicia", "Alcaldia Mayor", "Colegio Mayor de San Bartolomé" and "la Casa del 20 de Julio".

500 years ago this historical heritage is the most visited and more like in the visitors to the city. La Candelaria is made of 6 neighborhoods, and have construction like colonial and republican most of theme preserved its original structure.
La Plaza de Bolivar

La plaza de Bolivar is the heart of Bogota, now is difficult to imagine but its owners was two farmers. Sebastian de Belalcázar founded the "Plaza Mayor" in that time was named like that. In 1950 this was a car parking place and a marketplace. To this the citizens called a contest to remodel the plaza.
The company "Martinez y Avedaño de Bogota" that won the proposal of the desing, they built the new Plaza Mayor in 1959 and 1960. It floor have witnessed a lot of protest, strikes, funeral ceremonies and the most important celebrations of the country.
The most important developments of the country are: "el 20 de Julio de 1810", " Dia de la Independencia de Colombia", "La propuesta del pueblo enfurecido 9 de Abril de 1948", "La muerte de Jorge Eliécer Gaitán" and " La toma del Palacio de Justicia". In 1994 the Plaza Mayor o Plaza de Bolivar was named national monument. 

Monserrate

You can see all bogota from there. This is an important part of the history of bogota because is an religous place when you can go an pray since 1640. Don Juan de Borja was the man who other the construction this chapel dedicated to "la Virgen Morena de Monserrat", whose shrine is in Barcelona, España.
Monserrate is located in a mountain, you can go to the top of the mountain by "funicular" or "teleferico". Also this chapel meets people since 1657 to increase the religious faith of the citizens and tourists. You can also find at the top of the mountain a religious market where you can buy religious and Colombian memories.

In 1992 they created the "Parque Corredor Ecologico" to care about the flora and fauna who disappeared by deforestation. But you can practice different sports like to run or go upstairs.
