This is a very huge, big and new library here in Bogota. Like this is a new library it has many new and better things that help study compared to other libraries in Bogota.

This is a very concurred library. Many people go there because the new technology that the library has and that facilitates the study of people that go to the library.

In fact this is a very modern library that includes many new things that other libraries here at Bogota doesn`t have. It counts with a video room and interactive books that help study be better.

BIBLIOTECA VIRGILIO BARCO

This is a very good library. It also has a complete variety of books and resources to learn and study more in a better and interactive way. The design of the library makes it very beautiful.

The design makes the library very attractive from the outside and also the inside is very beautiful. It has many resources of learning and of studying in a better way.

This library is old but it seems a new one. All the people (workers) in the library are very good employees and are very careful. They will always help you in what you need in this beautiful and complete library.

BIBLIOTECA LUIS ANGEL ARANGO

This library is a very good library. Quite is, old is a very complete and is one of the most concurred libraries in Bogota. This helps people that go there a lot.

Also this library is a very huge and large one. This is one of the oldest libraries in Bogota. The people in the library are very good people and they help a lot in all ways the can.

This library is full of peace because all people (workers) have created like a respect so the library is full of peace and a very good place to study and learn many things.

The motocross "is a discipline that develops motorcycling unpaved circuits in which the various players competing for a career with the goal of finishing in first place in the goal.

It is one of the most spectacular forms of motorcycling, which combines speed with the skills necessary to control the bike to the uneven terrain, with sharp curves, mounds, bumps and dips, and on a land area generally, is smeared with the aim of avoiding the danger of dust. All this means that in racing motocross jumps and skids happen.

Motocross is an extreme sport in which as I have been researching and through my journey in and compete also this is a sport which is also practiced in Bogota and outskirts. Ok I am going to talk about a very traditional and good place n bogota is usaquen this is a place that have the besto restaurants in bogota also the more expensive ones the food is to delicious also on Sundays is a fair that have more than food art things also in there they sell puppys and many other things.

This place also have a monastery , and beatifull mall that is santa Barbara

Also in the central park is and old school that it have to be closed because the structure was to old the schools name is general santader .

I like to much this place because every Sunday I go there with my family we eat in a restaurant and then we sit down on the park to listen the storyteller also in there they make microfootball tournaments and capoeira because of this multicultural things I like usaquen and I recomend you tuo go on a Sunday the only thing is that is a little bit expensive.

This place that is from 1982 is a place that day y day shows like we like Colombians are full of things, beautiful things etc

Also is a good place for going to parts there are the best partys of bogta in this restaurant that is on chia and now in Bogotá.

In there you can find the best beef and the most exclusively one and the flavor is the best

Neighborhoods

Lisboa

Well i am going to talk about my neighborhood that is lisboa in this neighborhood are important things from the city like the EXITO supermarket  and on 140 street there is McDonalds ,locatel,kokoriko,KFC,carulla and a lot of things this neighborhood is a commercial part of the city because there at homes in here but the 60% of the neighborhood are commercial things also it counts with one of the prestigious  conjuntos his name is montearroyo   also near there is a mall called palatino is a natural mall because it helps and cares about the natural resources and the animals  finally in this neighborhood is the most prestigious golf and polo club in Colombia the country club it is the best one a the richest people in bogota go there .

About this neighborhood I can said that is a good neighborhood for live because there are no bad people also because it yhave many restaurants is near everything and it could be one of the best and more beautiful neighborhoods in bogota.

I like this neighborhood because all the things that have because if you need something  you can find here also because is a good place to live is peaceful

La colina

This is a popular neighborhood because of the things it have and like most of parties are there  is a important place for the city because also in there is the club of suboficiales of the national army.

This place have also important malls like portoalegre, la kupula, mall of 138  and san Rafael it have big parks and green zone’s is also a popular place to live because is near everything.

Also is a good place because of the diferent restaurants that are there like mc donalds,kokoriko, creps and waffles,corral,archies,etc

I like this place because of the parks tahat are there are beautifull.

But I also hate this place because of the insecurity .

There are beautifull places like altos de la colina that is a location where people live .

This place limit with mazuren, boyaca avenue,autopista and 134.

Prado veraniego

this is an important location because of the ubication and because the commercial things they have .

it is recognize because the low prices of all this location have this place have like a “plaza de Mercado” named el gran trigal this thing was a  very good a big and diferent option for buying vegetables and fruits but the government closed this thing because it was from david Murcia guzman(DMG)

also it have th best fich in bogota and with low prices there is a good place for buying food  in general .

also it have clothe commerce  if you need clothes you can go there and buy it there are outlets of clothes .

Festivals

Alimentarte

This festival is performed some saturdays and sundays and it slogan is "El mundo con boca". This festival is located in the "el parque el Virrey" and the last 20 of july was 122 intenational gourmet restaurants cooking food related to the "Bicentenario de la Independencia".

In that edition China was the special guest, and part of the food were also activities like: The dragon dance, The tiger dance, classes of origami, taichi, mandarin and others. Then there was another Alimentarte, in the days 24 and 25 of july with the slogan "Colombia si sabe"  and this version have 113 national restaurants to show how the Colombian food is so good.

This festival is held in some holidays of the year and all the citizens go to Alimentarte enjoy with their family and friends of a good and delicous food. The money that they gathered up is going to the widows of the police officers.

ROCK AL PARQUE

This is an international festival of just rock since 1995 in bogota,its the biggest festival from latin america and its free,This festival presents national and international bands of different kinds, the national artists from 1997 are selected by a juror chosen by summons opened after taking part in a process of several stages (preselection, hearings and live presentation). The chosen bands take an economic incentive established by decree as a prize, and the opportunity to share scene and experiences with international bands and doing part of the whole advertising and media deployment of the event, being a place of birth of big artists. The international artists and other some natives are invited by the organizing committe.

Rock al Parque is part of the series of the Festivals stimulated by the Secretariat Distrital of Culture, Recreation and Sport; it is the most ancient and the one that began the cycle of festivals, being emulated his scheme then by different topics and artistic kinds like Sauce, Jazz, Hip Hop, Opera, Operetta between others.

 Rock al Parque  does part of the program called Young Season"temporada joven", which includes the Cycle of Concerts Popular Urban Music. Inside the same program Hip Hop al parque.

Bike Tours

In Bogota you never wont be bored because bogota counts with many activities and entertaintmente for example it have bike tours all around the city , it is special for tourist but also for residents if the want to know more about bogota and its important places, Also there are other kind of bike tours names "Ciclovia" were sundays and holidays you can take your bike , skates, skatebaoards , or just walk alone or with your family and friends and have a little fun and exercise , this bike tours are located all around bogota .

There are some kind of groups of persons who really know bogota and make special tours for tourist and most of them are located all around hotels ,hostels and city landmarks . Their tours include visits to the museums , theatres , la candelaria (which is the most common), Churches,Malls , Libraries and all around bogota´s history.

For example in important holidays like christmas they make tours to see the ilumination and beautifull christmas decoration all around the city , for example in the park of "la 93" the persons who are incharge of the park they decorate it beautifull with a huge tree in the middle of the park , and all around the trees lights of all colors .

PANACA



Panaca is a park , a really fun place that was create with the intention to confert the agricultural activities , and make people convive with animals and make a lot of field activities .Panaca was create in dicembre 7 with just a purpose make realize people that without farm or field there's no city "sin campo no hay ciudad".

This touristic place is located at the end of bogota city , it recieved all around 300 visitants in a month, Tourist can enjoy 8 thematic stations , 4 coliseums of ex exhibition, 2.400 animals species, 30 restaurants and 17 locals were you can buy everything you want .This place that is catalogued as the most important park of the sheet of Bogota, possesses an educational program for children of all the ages in topics related to the fauna, the flora and the environment.

The eight stations are : "Estación de ganadería" Is about cows , "Estación de especies menores","Estación de porcicultura"About pigs,"Estación de ecología","Estación canina"About dogs , "Estación piscicultura" About fish ,"Estación equina" about horses,and "Estación agrícola". This Exhibitions only can be seen from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm . Circo de lo hermanos Gasca

This is a really famous circus in bogota , since 2009 this circus came directly from mexico just to show us how incretible it is.Where you will be able to laugh with the ludicrous acts of his clowns, to be surprised with the numbers of his exotic animals and to enjoy as child of the assembly that they have prepared for this year.

The entry to this world of robotic lights, lived for Patricia the elephant, white tigers, trained dogs, horses that dance and up to a man it bleats, has several prices:palco $ 40.000, platea $30.000 adults- $25.000 children, grada $20.000 adults- $15.000 children.

The circus of the brothers Gasca, a spectacle that has grown from generation to generation since in 1938, Jesus sources Zabalsa and Maria Luisa Gasca of sources they gave the first function of what nowadays is a show of international height, has been reinvented in order that you enjoy the fantasy of this group of nomadic artists, which today is stopped in Bogota you to return to the infancy during two o'clock that his presentation lasts.

Bogota's History

La Candelaria

In the history of Bogota La Candelaria is a very important part. This is an important avenue that divides the city into east and west. The most of the contructions are since their because they are part of the historical heritage. But in the "Bogotazo" some of the constructions were missing.

It becomes to the location 17, and the central point of this historical heritage is the "Plaza de Bolivar" and many people said that this city was built with 12 huts. Also some important constructions are "Congreso de la Republica", "Catedral Primada", "Palacio de Justicia", "Alcaldia Mayor", "Colegio Mayor de San Bartolomé" and "la Casa del 20 de Julio".

500 years ago this historical heritage is the most visited and more like in the visitors to the city. La Candelaria is made of 6 neighborhoods, and have construction like colonial and republican most of theme preserved its original structure.

La Plaza de Bolivar

La plaza de Bolivar is the heart of Bogota, now is difficult to imagine but its owners was two farmers. Sebastian de Belalcázar founded the "Plaza Mayor" in that time was named like that. In 1950 this was a car parking place and a marketplace. To this the citizens called a contest to remodel the plaza.

The company "Martinez y Avedaño de Bogota" that won the proposal of the desing, they built the new Plaza Mayor in 1959 and 1960. It floor have witnessed a lot of protest, strikes, funeral ceremonies and the most important celebrations of the country.

The most important developments of the country are: "el 20 de Julio de 1810", " Dia de la Independencia de Colombia", "La propuesta del pueblo enfurecido 9 de Abril de 1948",  "La muerte de Jorge Eliécer Gaitán" and " La toma del Palacio de Justicia". In 1994 the Plaza Mayor o Plaza de Bolivar was named national monument.

Monserrate

You can see all bogota from there. This is an important part of the history of bogota because is an religous place when you can go an pray since 1640. Don Juan de Borja was the man who other the construction this chapel dedicated to "la Virgen Morena de Monserrat", whose shrine is in Barcelona, España. 

Monserrate is located in a mountain, you can go to the top of the mountain by "funicular" or "teleferico". Also this chapel meets people since 1657 to increase the religious faith of the citizens and tourists. You can also find at the top of the mountain a religious market where you can buy religious and Colombian memories.

 

In 1992 they created the "Parque Corredor Ecologico" to care about the flora and fauna who disappeared by deforestation. But you can practice different sports like to run or go upstairs.  

Restaurants

La Fragata Giratorio

This restaurant is located  in the Calle 100, Nº 8A-55. World Trade Center, Floor 12. This is most elegant restaurant in the all Bogota. This restaurant offers you many amenities like Valet Parking a good service of the people that work there is very nice to eat at La Fragata. A important detail is that you have to make the reserv some days before because this restaurant all the days is full. 

A good aspect that this restaurant have is that the restaurant is rotating in a slow way to make a very beautiful enviroment every minute that you are eating there. Is a pretty place to go in the night  in a special occasion or to have dinner. You can also see all Bogota up there.

In this restaurant the principal dishes are from sea food but you can also find meal, chicken and pasta. The prices are between 18.000 to 100.000 pesos. This restaurant since 1964. There are some Fish Markets is like La Fragata but in a little way this tittle restaurants are located Calle 77, Salitre-Avenida del Dorado and Zona T.  This restaurant is inspired in New York's restaurants, the client feels in a very confortable in this enviroment. 

El Corral 

This restaurant is since 1983 and it first location was in the center of Bogota by auto-service. It slogan is "La Receta Original" this concept is unique and have alot of controversy. The first concept of this restaurant was the sell point: local street, Free Stand, Free Stand CC, Food Court, Hypermarkets and finaly, Service Stations. 

In the 2001, this company founded the first " El Corral Gourtmet" this restaurant offered a more elegant service that "El Corral". In the 2004 they also founded the "Beer Station" in this restaurant you can taste different classes of craft beer and other different types of alcohol and also diferrent delicious dishes to share.

This company since this year it expanded it restaurants 
and now it have 150 restaurants in all the country. 
El Corral in the 2006 offered its first franchise to Panama. In now days it counts with 3 restaurants in Panama. And now it thinks to expand it franchise to Chile and Ecuador. 

Andres D.C

Now is here in Bogota the urban 

version of Andres Carne de Res 

this restaurant is located in Chia at the 

outside of Bogota. Andres Jaramillo is 

the owner of this two restaurants but 

now in the Mall "El Retiro" is a new 

restaurant by Andres Jaramillo and its 

called "La Plaza de Andres". This 

3 restaurants are recognized by its original decoration and creativity also it staff is very good and you can enjoy a good lunch or dinner with your family and friends.

Andres D.C is located in the Mall "El Retiro" it have 4 floors and a capacity for 1200 people. This restaurant want to the people go and enjoy they food and the amiability of it staff, you 

can also find different dishes like meal, sea food and chicken. Andres D.C promises be the best restaurant and bar in all Bogota. The diches are between 30.000 to 50.000 pesos. Its open to the public in a schedule: Sunday to Wednesday 12pm to 12am and Thusday To Saturday 12pm to 3am.

In this restaurant you have 800 differents diches to select and eat. Each floor have a name, the first floor is "El infierno" the second is "La Tierra" the thirth is "El Purgatorio" and the last one is "El Cielo". Andres Jaramillo 20 years before he said that he doesn´t want to put it names but the people said that is better with the names. The people said that Andres D.C is "Andres De Corazon" but Andres Jaramillo said that Andres D.C is something more urban and relaxed. 

THEATERS

TEATRO LA CANDELARIA

This is a theater like made from rustic or past times, like a theater from the colonial times and its architecture. Although this is a very concurred theater where there are very good plays presented in the theater.

The principal topics of the plays are like taken from books and passed into the theater. It also presents like old comedy, scary plays. The majority of the plays are like formed in the theater and they have very creative and original plays.

The characters of this theater like the old character that in some kind of comedy very old makes you laugh, like have many emotions involved and have a good time.

TEATRO SANTAFE

This theater is located in Chapinero; it is a very big theater were all people of any age can go. It is a very big theater and many important plays are presented there.

This theater is like a family one because; all kinds of plays are presented to people of all kinds of age. Some of the most important genres that are presented in the plays are like comedy, entertainment and many musicals with orchestras.

Also in the theater there are plays for kids where schools can take them to have a very fun time. This isn´t that kind of theaters that are very expensive and the plays are bad and you have a bad time, this theater is the exact opposite it isn´t expensive and the plays that are presented are very entertaining so you will have a very good time.

TEATRO LA CASTELLANA

This is a very concurred and popular theater here at Bogota. In this theater many important plays are presented there. The theater’s parking lot is not so huge and it’s a parking lot very expensive.

In this theater they present very good plays and also very entertaining ones. Some of the genres presented are comedy, little kids plays etc. The tickets are not expensive.

One example of a comedy play is that in this theater the present Andres Lopez. In conclusion this is a very good, huge and representative theater of Bogota.

Salitre Mágico 

This theme park is located in the heart of Bogotá, with vehicular access calle 63 and avenida 68. It has aprox. 32 hectares. It has 32 attractions in all the park, 16 are for little children and the other 16 are for the family and people that like extreme experience.  It has 1200 parking places and 10 strategic points.

This park belong to the CIE group, this group is called Corporación Interamericana de Entretenimiento; this group the principal office is in Mexico, it has 18 years in experience in concerts and entertainment in all Latin America.  This enterprise begins selling souvenirs and food with the different events that are there.   

The mission of this theme park is to meet the needs, desires and expectations of entertainment of every person that enjoy each day the park. Rates: NITRO Passport : $35.000 pesos each person , Platinum Passport: $30.000 pesos each person , Golden Passport: $28.000 pesos each person, Input Value: $4.000 pesos each person, Rain Insurance: $5.000 pesos each person, Value Parking Lot: $6.000 pesos all the day, Super Fun Kit: $45.000 pesos each person, and  Fast Pass Value: $20.000 pesos each person.




The 16 attractions for little children are: Mini Jet, Marine Bay, Sillas Voladoras, Mini Rueda, Samba Balloon, Crazy Plane, Trencito, Laberinto Infantil, Convoy, Mini Autos, Carrusel, Jumping Star, Gusano Loco, Baby Zone, Speed Way. The other 16 are divided in to two parts one for the family and the other one for the high risk. The family part has 6 attractions: Simulador, Monstruos Marinos, Rueda Milenium, Palacio de Cristal, Avión, Tornado; and the high risk has 9 attractions: Doble LooP, Castillo del Terror, Montaña Rusa, Barco Pirata, Carros Chocones, Centrox, Musik Center, Pista de Karts, Apocalypse. 

Mundo Aventura

Since 1998 the park opened its door to the public, more o less 9 million people visited this theme park. This park belongs to a company name Corparques with non profit its a branch from Camara de Comercio de Bogota, they objective is to create spaces for recreation and make people have fun in the city. This park was build in 13 hectares. In this park the people can enjoy of mecanic atracctions, skill games, natural scenes, and many parade with different characters.

The vision of the this theme park is to be the leaders of the development and learning of the citizens, also to make the life of the citizens better. Also this theme park have some very important values they are innovation, creativity, honesty, responsibility, respect, friendliness, solidarity and compromise.  

Mundo Aventura have a social work with the Camara de Comercio that the purpose of this is

to maintain the public parks in Bogota, Also this park contributes with the school development of the boys and girls disadvantaged of Bogota.

Mundo Aventura have 32 different atractions they are: Araña, Dark Ride, Ikaro, XTreme, Black Hole, Sky Coaster, Montañita Rusa, Tropicana, Martillo, Golfito, Paseo a Caballo, Granja Interactiva, Troncos, karts, Carrusel, Globos, Carros Chocones, Monasterio Inclinado, Transbordador, Play Ground, Mini Chocones, Vía Panamericana, Tobogán, Soft Play, Paseo de Piratas, Tren Río Grande, Bus Loco, Tacitas De Té, Tortugas, Mini Rueda, Sillas Voladoras, Aviones. The park is open to the public on monday to sunday at 10am to 9pm, the prices are up to 20.000 pesos. 

MALOKA

Many people question about what it means "Maloka", well Maloca for many of our indigenous communities is a place were the important decisions are taken, the knowledge is shared and the most important rituals happen. So 10 years before the company that manage Maloka decided to take that concept and make a fun an entreteiment enviroment to the family and friends.

The Maloka's corporation was formed with the "Asociación Colombiana para el Avance de la Ciencia" and with the support of "Departamento Administrativo de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación", "Instituto Distrital de Cultura y Turismo" and "Organización Ardila Lülle". The mision of this theme park is to contribute with the development and learning more of the science, tecnology and innovation. And the vision is to provide the enrichment of the Colombian culture.

This theme park is open: Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: 10:00am to 7:00pm. In this park you can also find interactive rooms, the famous "Cine Domo" and 3D Digital Cinema. The prices are between 7.000 pesos to 20.000 pesos.

Bogota have many cinemas companies por example cinecolombia it is one of the most popular, most of the mall have it and it includes a really good variety of movies , like drama movies , comedy , scary movies , and more. ones of the more popular movies in this year are paranormal activity 2 , the origin, Harry potter,one of michael jackson named "this is it " and more . cinecolombia is really good and famous because of its prices because for example when go to watch a movie on tuesdays is cost a little bit less than ussual . in bogota city are 15malls who have cinecolombia in it and they are : Andino , Cedritos , Haciendo Santa Barbara , Centro Mayor , Multiplex Embajador, Galerias,Gran Estacion, Las Americas,Metropolis, Portal de la 80,Portoalegra , Santafe ,Unicentro and Calle cien.






In Bogota we have a lot of cinemas , must of them are located in malls but also there others that are located on a sigle place. the more famous cinemas we have in bogota are cinemark and cinecolombia also we ave others but they are not that important. some cinemas are cheaper that the others but they are not that good as the ones who cost a little bit more because they have more movies and the newest of the month or year .

cinemas are a really good way of take a breath and relax while your are watching the movie because they have confortables shairs and good food , movies are really good and you can see whatever kind of movi you what , for example you can watch a scary movie , drama , comedy , etc.. and also there are movies for all kind of ages .
